Modern Slavery Statement

Our commitment to ethical business conduct and continual improvement

Serenity Digital Ltd – Modern Slavery Statement
Financial Year: 2025/26
Approved by the Board/Directors: November 1st 2025
Published: November 13th 2025

  1. Introduction

    Serenity Digital Ltd (Company No: 08215186) is a Hampshire-based communications consultancy and marketing firm providing creative, technical and growth services to a range of clients.

    We recognise that modern slavery (including human trafficking, forced labour, servitude and other forms of exploitation) is a serious violation of human rights and one that can affect businesses in any sector and region.

    As part of our commitment to ethical business conduct and continual improvement (in line with ISO 9001:2015), we publish this statement to set out the steps we have taken and will continue to take to prevent modern slavery in our operations and supply chain.

  2. Our structure and business

    Serenity Digital Ltd offers consultancy, creative, technical and growth services across brand strategy, website and software development, digital marketing, content, and associated services.

    Our headquarters are at Ralls House, Parklands Business Park, Forest Road, Denmead PO7 6XP.

    We employ 15 members of staff, and engage with a number of external contractors, freelancers, and suppliers (both domestic and, in some cases, international) in the delivery of our services.

  3. Our supply chain

    Our supply chain includes:

     - service suppliers (e.g., freelance designers, copywriters, photographers, video production);
    - technology vendors (e.g., web hosting, software licences, cloud services);
    - equipment/office supplies (e.g., computers, peripherals, office furniture);
    - marketing and advertising partners (e.g., print suppliers, promotional merchandise).

    Although the nature of our business is low-risk for many of the typical industries where modern slavery is more prevalent (such as manufacturing, agriculture or extractive industries), we nonetheless recognise that risks can arise even in service and supply-chain contexts (for example, in overseas print or promotional merchandise production or in subcontracted/digital labour).

    Where we engage suppliers abroad or indirect labour via sub-contractors, we remain vigilant to modern slavery risks.

  4. Policies and risk assessment

    We have in place and continually maintain the following:

    - A Code of Conduct / Supplier Code that sets out our expectation that all business partners comply with all applicable laws, respect human rights, and do not engage in modern slavery or forced labour.
    - A whistle-blowing/concerns policy that enables employees and contractors to raise concerns (confidentially or anonymously) about unethical conduct, including modern slavery.
    - Risk assessment procedures for our supply chain: suppliers are evaluated based on region, service type, labour content, and subcontracting arrangements.
    - Due diligence on new suppliers: prior to engagement we ask key suppliers to confirm their compliance with modern slavery laws, provide their own modern slavery statements if available, and agree to our standard terms and conditions which include adherence to anti-slavery standards.
    - Ongoing monitoring: we review our supply-chain engagements periodically, and where a supplier is assessed as higher risk, we may request additional information, auditing or termination of contract if compliance is not demonstrated.

  5. Training and communication

    We recognise that effective prevention relies on awareness. We provide:

    - Training to our senior management and procurement/staff teams about the risks of modern slavery, how to identify signs of forced or exploitative labour, and how to escalate concerns.
    - Communication of our expectations to our internal team, our contractors and suppliers that they must comply with our standards and report any suspected issues.
    - Inclusion of modern slavery and human rights topics as part of our continuous improvement process (aligned to ISO 9001:2015).

  6. Performance indicators and monitoring

    To measure the effectiveness of our approach, we monitor:

    - The number of suppliers who have signed our Supplier Code / provided modern-slavery compliance information.
    - The percentage of new high-risk suppliers screened for modern slavery risk during onboarding.
    - The number of staff/contractors who have completed modern slavery awareness training.
    - Any incidents, investigations or supplier terminations related to modern slavery concerns.

    We review these metrics yearly as part of our management review process (under ISO 9001:2015) and take corrective actions and improvement where gaps are identified.
  7. Our future commitments

    For the coming year, we commit to:

    - Further mapping of our supply-chain exposure (including any indirect overseas production, print or merchandise suppliers) to better identify and prioritise risk areas.
    - Enhancing supplier auditing / risk-based oversight for any supplier deemed medium/high risk by region or service type.
    - Updating our training programme to include case-studies and scenario-based learning relevant to the communications and digital marketing sector.
    - Embedding modern slavery risk and human-rights issues into our strategic planning and procurement policy, and ensuring our leadership team reviews progress and risk annually.

  8. Board approval and responsibility

    This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors of Serenity Digital Ltd on 13th November 2025 and will be reviewed and revised annually, or more frequently if required by changes in our business or supply-chain. The Director responsible for compliance (and modern slavery oversight) is Peter Garrett.
