The challenge

TJB approached us with a clearly documented and concise brief, which made specifying the project straightforward. What didn't make it easy was the need to integrate two third-party APIs into the new site, all while ensuring a seamless connection to WordPress. On top of that, the existing site had grown to more than 2,500 URLs over the years, and any restructuring risked losing the search visibility TJB had built up.

Our approach

We gave TJB Super Yachts' website a complete refresh, creating a smoother, more engaging experience for visitors. The project involved a full reskin, updating the site's look to reflect TJB's luxury brand while improving usability, with clearer navigation and a cleaner visual style throughout.

To add real value for users, we built interactive features that let visitors engage directly with TJB's yacht listings. Users can now favourite yachts, compare options side by side, and share their selections by email or download, giving clients practical tools to support their decision-making.

Behind the scenes, the site integrates with two of the world's most renowned superyacht charter and sales databases, pulling the latest data on every visit and serving up fast, filtered search results. We also built functionality allowing users to save and compare individual yachts, calculate the cost of specific itineraries, and construct itineraries for different regions, drawing on an extensive database of locations, facilities and hospitality venues in marinas across the globe.

Ahead of launch, we invested heavily in additional SEO research and consultancy to manage the transition from the old 2,500+ URL site down to a streamlined, optimised version with just over 600 core pages, ensuring the new site was indexed correctly and kept its search engine visibility. Throughout the build, we used high definition video, precise photography, TJB's brand colours and typography, and bespoke iconography and marine-based graphics to protect the integrity of the brand. Our team also integrated all of TJB's own content, making sure the site's messaging matched the new design.

Despite our main point of contact being based outside the UK and most meetings taking place online, we built a genuinely strong working relationship with the TJB team. Since launch, we've continued to support the ongoing management of the TJB Super Yachts site, as well as TJB Private Travel.

The Results

The new site gives TJB Super Yachts a platform that looks the part and works properly behind the scenes. It's beautiful and easy to navigate for end users, while remaining genuinely simple for the TJB team to edit and adjust themselves, so updates don't rely on coming back to us for every small change.

The API integrations mean yacht and charter listings stay current automatically, pulling fresh data from two of the industry's leading databases on every visit rather than needing manual updates. The SEO work carried out ahead of launch protected the visibility TJB had built up over the years, even as the site shrank from thousands of pages to a focused, well-structured set of just over 600, and the result is a site that's stronger for search as well as for users. Alongside all of this, TJB now owns a genuinely flexible platform, built with an entire toolkit of on-brand elements it can keep drawing on well beyond launch.

The conclusion

This was a project that combined a clear brief with some genuinely tricky technical work, connecting two third-party APIs into WordPress and carrying thousands of pages of SEO history through a full rebuild without losing ground. The result is a site that quietly does more for the business, keeping listings current without manual effort, making it easier for the TJB team to manage day to day, and giving the company a flexible, on-brand platform it genuinely owns and can keep building on.
