As an organisation who understand the benefits we receive from our community and how lucky we are to live and work in the UK, it is our duty, wherever we can, to utilise our resources, skills and time to help support organisations in need who are doing positive work around us.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative lays out the approach we adopt and the annual resources we are able to provide to community groups and charities, both in our area and around the world.

Over our seven years in business so far, Serenity Digital have worked with a number of organisations to help support their efforts and below are some examples of what we've been up to in the last 12 months. If you wish to support us, learn more or get involved, please contact us for more information.

The Clanfield Challenge

Serenity Digital avidly supports the Clanfield Challenge, an annual event that brings together 1,000 runners of all ages and abilities. Each year, the profits of the Challenge go to local causes and many different community groups receive essential resources or funding for their group or project.

Serenity Digital was part of the Clanfield Challenge’s founding committee and we offer our creative services for free. This includes the set-up, design and continual running of the website and ticketing system, social media copywriting and scheduling, email marketing and design of all merchandise including medals, water bottles, signage tickets, t-shirts and more. Over the last year, our designers, developers and copywriters have provided over 100 hours of support for this extremely worthy cause.

Serenity Digital’s input to the event’s marketing has significantly helped make it a success year on year. In 2019, the event raised over £3,000 in profit. Donations were gifted to local causes who applied for a grant via the Clanfield Challenge website. Those who benefitted were Clanfield Youth FC, St James Church, Bluebell Wood, South Lane Meadow and a number of schools and preschools in the area.

Circus Starr Sponsorship

Circus Starr organise circus shows for children with disabilities, families on low incomes and those facing challenges such as domestic violence, bereavement or who may be living with a life-limiting condition. They do it to help - nearly 1.5 million UK families can’t afford a single day out together and 50% of families with disabled children say that the stigma and discrimination they face makes them feel isolated. Serenity Digital completely endorse the fantastic work Circus Starr do and knowing they can only do it via donations, we were happy to sponsor one of the performances, which took place in Titchfield, Hampshire.

In the Christmas spirit!

Christmas saw Serenity Digital give a little bit extra in the name of Save the Children. The entire team took part in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day to raise money for this worthy cause. The campaign kicked off early in December, encouraging our followers and clients to join us in taking part on Friday 13th, to try our fun online “Is 13 lucky for you?” Christmas game and donate to Save the Children. Those taking part in the online game were entered into a draw to win a Polar Ignite fitness watch! Save the Children benefited from our additional PR and the donations we collected, and the lucky watch winner was informed on Christmas Eve, making their Christmas an even merrier one!

Charity discounts

Serenity Digital offers discounted hourly rates for all UK-registered charities, allowing their marketing budget to work that bit harder for them. In return for our reduced rates, we benefit from the positive outcomes of supporting such wonderful causes; motivated, happy staff, with a well-rounded sense of place in their wider community.

We’ve supported the following charities in this way:

Spark Inside

Spark Inside is an innovative, award-winning charity who deliver coaching programmes in prisons to encourage rehabilitation, lower violence and reduce reoffending, to ultimately create a safer society for all of us. To date, Spark Inside has worked with over 1,000 individuals living and working in prisons across London and the south east. www.sparkinside.org

The Firefighters Charity

Providing mental, physical and social support to UK firefighters in need. They ensure the right support is delivered in the right way and at the right time. They treat each beneficiary as an individual, taking time to fully understand their needs, whatever their primary reason for reaching out for support. www.firefighterscharity.org.uk

Wonder Foundation

They are dedicated to empowering women, girls and their community through access to quality education, so that they can exit poverty for good. They work with local partners, towards a future where women and girls are empowered to make informed life choices and lead the way in their own personal development. Wonderfoundation.org.uk

Veterans of War

Their mission is to enhance the quality of life of Veterans of War who have served in the British armed forces. They help War Veterans of all ages and from all theatres of conflict. The support our charity provides focuses on the person behind the Veteran and their particular circumstances. We see our War Veterans as individuals, which makes our support meaningful and in some cases, life-changing. www.veterans-of-war.org
