It’s time for another round of introductions, and we’re pleased to say that we’ve recently had two new starters join the Serenity Digital team.
This month, it’s time to find out a bit more about Apphia and Ida.
Apphia - Pay-per-Click Marketing Manager
Apphia joined us at the start of January, and has since hit the ground running with multiple projects.
She’s working closely with the rest of the growth team to enhance our clients’ search engine rankings and advertising campaigns. Outside of work, she’s considering renovating a camper van, and using that to travel around the UK, when the weather decides to be more amenable.
Tell us three interesting facts about yourself
-
Although I now live just outside of Portsmouth, I was born in Essex and lived there for a few years. My parents are (way too) proud to be from Essex, and made sure that I was born there so that Essex was in my blood!
-
I am a Christian, and love to be at church with my friends and family. It's the place where I feel most at home!

My fun party fact is that I had Botox at 12 years old. Directly in the eyeball! Feel free to ask for the gory details, but I'll leave that up to your imagination for now...
What made you want to join Serenity?
From seeing case studies and meeting some of the team at the interview, I could tell that this was a great company to work for. The team at Serenity are really skilled and really friendly.
They all do lots of things that I'm no expert in, so I am looking forward to peering behind the curtains of web development, graphic design, copywriting and all the technical work that goes on here!
The rest of the team love to travel, where is one place you have always wanted to visit, but haven’t?
My passport isn't well-travelled, which I'm looking to change! I would love to go to America, Italy, and maybe even some road trips around Europe. Fortunately, I only really require the destination to have nice weather, which isn't hard to achieve when compared to England...
What are you most looking forward to in your new role?
I am really looking forward to getting stuck into client work and getting some great results from their Paid Advertising campaigns. I love all the nitty gritty work that goes into a successful paid ads campaign, and I love all the details. I'm ready to roll up my sleeves and dive right in!

Ida - Graphic and UI Designer
Ida joined us a few days after Apphia, and since she joined, she’s been getting to grips with the graphic design projects we’re working on in the background.
Outside of work, she’s got a horse she visits every evening, and can’t wait for the summer to come back around so she can spend more time out in the countryside.
Tell us three interesting facts about yourself
- I impulsively bought a horse with money earmarked ‘new kitchen’. I still have him now 10 years later.
- I love gardening and believe I could live off the grid every time I grow a tomato.
- I don’t cope with tension and need to look up endings every time I watch a film.
What made you want to join Serenity?
The job advert really stood out and the company did too. It’s a really healthy place to work, with a great team and fun projects. I was working from home after relocating from Scotland and it was the perfect time for me to join and collaborate with likeminded creatives. I’m very excited to be part of Serenity's achievements and growth.

What are you most looking forward to in your new role?
Being in my little creative universe with a lovely team whilst learning and developing within the role.
