Meet our New Front End Web Developer

We are delighted to welcome our new Front End Web Developer, Jagoda, to the team!

Jagoda joins us from her previous role as Lead Front End Developer at a small web design company in Chichester. Here she initially joined as an apprentice but was quickly employed as a full-time member of staff. 

What made you want to join Serenity Digital?

I was looking for a new challenge, but also a place that values you as an employee. Serenity stood out for me so much that it was the only job application I sent out - I was certain this would be the best choice I make and I was 100% correct!

Tell us three fun facts about yourself.

1. I used to be a Scout and would spend 2 weeks in a forest every summer.

2. From time to time I take part in RPG blog sessions.

3. I go to annual Florence & The Machine fan club meetings in Warsaw, Poland.

What experience do you have in web development?

Web development has been my passion for almost 10 years now. I started from making blog templates, but for a few years now I've been doing it more professionally. For almost two years I worked as a lead front-end developer, but before that I used to do some freelancing.

We’ve heard you love to game! If you could feature in any video game, what would it be and why?

The new Witcher game for sure! I feel particularly attached to CD Projekt Red's games, as they are a game studio from Poland, which makes me proud of where I'm from. I always liked more mediaeval/fantasy themed games and books, so it would be great to be featured in that world.

The team at Serenity love to travel, what is your favourite holiday destination and why?

I much prefer the colder countries and my biggest dream is to go to Iceland and see the Northern Lights! So far my favourite holiday destination is probably Austria with the great skiing slopes in winter

What skills and expertise can you offer our Serenity Digital clients?

My experience in front-end design will come in handy when designing the websites. With time I'm sure I will be able to pick up some other useful skills too!

What are you most looking forward to in your new role?

Getting to use new tools and systems is always very interesting to me, but I think it will be getting to learn new useful skills that keeps me excited.
