Under the direction of both Directors, and working alongside our team you will be responsible for the design and production of multimedia projects deliverable across a range of mediums (digital and print).
Key skills required:
Prior to employment you must demonstrate a portfolio and a clear understanding of the following skills:
- Web Design
You must be able to interpret a client brief, research the audience and industry and create compelling designs with appropriate rationale for the decisions you have made. You will have an understanding of the constraints of designing for online platforms, including devices, browsers, technologies available and mixed user abilities and must be able to test your creations on a range of platforms.
- Print Design
Once again, you must be able to interpret a client brief, research the audience and industry and create compelling communications across a range of printed mediums such as stationery, booklets, brochures, leaflets, posters, flyers, exhibition stands and more… You will have an understanding of the print buying and production process and will be expected to liaise with suppliers on quotation, production and delivery to clients.
- Front end coding
- Keen eye for detail
Our clients expect the highest quality results so you must demonstrate attention to detail. We expect the highest quality results across both printed and digital mediums. You must demonstrate strong English and Maths skills (Spelling/Grammar etc..).
- Project Management & Administration
You will be responsible for keeping to the deadline’s set, managing your time and planning projects effectively within attainable and realistic timescales (we are not interested in providing clients with unreasonable deadlines).
- Use of software
We would expect you to be proficient in the use the following software applications: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Microsoft Office and a coding IDE of your choice.
- Interest in your craft
You must demonstrate a keen interest in the design, web and print related industries and be keen to learn. We aim to provide modern and engaging experiences which benefit from the use of the latest technologies and best practices – you will need to be fluent in these.
In addition to the skills above, any prior experience in, or keen interest to learn, will be desirable in a chosen candidate:
- Knowledge of Content Management Systems (such as Wordpress, Drupal etc.)
- Photography or Filmography
- Experience consulting and/or presenting to prospects and clients
- Search engine optimisation and Search engine marketing experience
- Dynamic back-end coding (such as PHP, MySQL)
