A promotional, media rich website built to a very tight deadline.
We were asked to build a website to support the ticket sales for the annual Army vs Navy rugby match. With designs already created, the main requirement for this project was speed in order to launch the website prior to increased sales during the Christmas period.
The design demanded a media rich website, full of video, images and downloadable content that would need to be easily administered by the ArmyNavyMatch.org.uk team. With social media playing an important part in the event’s marketing strategy the website needed to be integrated with facebook and twitter and be fully optimised for use on mobile devices.
Using our in-house content management system, Serenity Source, we were able to quickly develop a set of bespoke webpage templates that would deliver all of the functionality requested in the designs.
The team at ArmyNavyMatch.org.uk were given a morning of comprehensive training, allowing them to take control and add their content. The user friendly nature of Source meant that they could get straight to work, easily creating new pages, uploading images and organising them into galleries, inserting videos into pages and uploading pdf files to download.
Despite the tight timescale the website was launched ahead of schedule. The site has been performing well with more than a quarter of visitors going on to the ticket buying websites.
