Search Marketing Executive
By navigating algorithm shifts, Kyanah chases valuable leads over vanity metrics, ensuring clients are found by the right people.
As a Search Marketing Executive at Serenity, Kyanah’s core focus centers on Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), while also lending her expertise to paid search and social campaigns.
Day to day, she monitors performance trends across her client projects, diagnosing the real story behind the numbers to spot what needs attention before it becomes a problem. She plans and prioritises ongoing strategies, managing everything from technical fixes and on-page improvements to tracking competitor movements. She collaborates closely with content writers and the wider growth marketing team, brainstorming ideas and sharing valuable insights to ensure a cohesive approach across all accounts.
Rather than reacting after the damage is done, Kyanah takes a proactive approach to her discipline. She stays ahead of algorithm shifts and AI search updates to adapt strategies early. By focusing on improving the actual customer experience with faster page load times, clearer content, and better-matched results, she ensures her clients' businesses are found by the right people, turning visibility into real enquiries and sales rather than just traffic numbers.
“I’ve been at Serenity for coming up to two years now, and honestly, it has flown by. The culture here is like nothing I have experienced elsewhere, everyone truly cares about each other. You see it in the small things, someone bringing in home-baked goods for no reason, the brilliant socials we have throughout the year, and just how quick everyone is to jump in and help when you need it. I have made real friendships here that go well beyond office hours, which says a lot considering we already spend every working day together. What we have at Serenity is genuinely rare, and it is that same care that shows up in how we treat our clients, I wouldn't want to change it for the world.”
Kyanah is vital when a business is struggling to be found by the right people online, whether that is slipping search rankings, wasted ad spend, or growing uncertainty about how AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini are reshaping how customers search in the first place.
If you're experiencing:
Rankings or organic traffic that have plateaued or started to drop with no obvious explanation.
A new site failing to appear on search engines because launch alone isn't enough without an ongoing SEO strategy.
High customer acquisition costs driven by an overdependence on paid channels while organic search lags behind.
Doubts surrounding whether your business is being cited accurately or showing up at all in AI-generated search results.
High visitor numbers on the surface that fail to turn into actual sales, leads, or business enquiries.
Content and technical drag—like thin pages, keyword cannibalisation or slow loading speed, quietly suppressing performance.
“Before I dive into any strategy, I want to sit down and really get to know a business, what makes it unique, why customers choose it, and what success actually looks like for them. That's where real SEO starts, not with rankings, but with understanding the business behind them. It's easy to chase vanity metrics, impressions, traffic spikes, keyword counts, because they're the numbers that look good in a report. But none of that means much if it isn't translating into genuine enquiries and revenue for the client, which is always our real measure of success. SEO isn't something you set and forget either, your competitors are working just as hard every single day, so it has to be an ongoing conversation, not a one-off project.”
Improving organic visibility through technical fixes, on-page content, and keyword strategy, focused on turning search traffic into genuine enquiries and sales rather than just rankings.
Making sure businesses are visible and accurately represented in AI-generated search results, from ChatGPT to Gemini, as more customers turn to AI tools to find and research businesses.
Planning and running paid search and social campaigns that complement organic strategy, targeting the right audience efficiently and keeping acquisition costs under control.
Supporting wider marketing efforts with email campaigns that nurture leads and keep customers engaged, alongside a genuine interest in social media as a tool for building brand visibility and connection.
Outside of work, Kyanah balances an active lifestyle with a deep love for the arts. Whether she is running, hiking, paddle boarding, or playing tennis and pickleball, she is always on the move (often with a playlist of musical theatre show tunes powering her gym workouts!). As a massive film and theatre fan, she makes monthly trips to the cinema and regularly travels to London to catch the latest stage shows. Above all, she is highly family-orientated, spending plenty of time with her nieces, nephew, younger brother, and grandparents, who frequently call on her as the resident family "tech wizard."
When it is time to unwind at home, Kyanah turns to reading fantasy novels or cooking elaborate meals entirely from scratch. She naturally values doing things properly, taking the time to get a recipe or project just right rather than rushing the process. This same caring, meticulous instinct carries directly over to her clients. She takes genuine pride in the journey, ensuring that every detail is nurtured to create lasting, high-quality results.
“I care about doing things properly, whether that’s a client project or something in my own life and I would rather take the time to get it right than rush to tick a box. I think I am someone who wants to help, who genuinely enjoys the process, and who takes real pride in seeing something through to a result worth having.”
